WHERE DO YOU ACCEPT CLIENTS FROM?

I'm fortunate enough to work with authors from all over the world. Whilst I am based in UK, I am equally adept at editing American English and have extensive experience preparing novels directly translated from other languages for English-speaking markets.

HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE?

I typically require two weeks to complete a full novel edit, with less time needed for smaller projects. Scheduling for your edit will depend on my current commitments to other clients and is something we can explore when we begin discussing your work.

WHAT EDITING DO YOU DO?

I offer a variety of services  available to view here. If you're not sure what you want/need then drop me a message and we can figure out the best course of action for your novel.

DOES THE GENRE OF MY BOOK MATTER?

I have experience editing all types of fiction, as well as some non-fiction, and am comfortable considering all proposals.

WHY ARE YOUR RATES NOT ADVERTISED?

Every manuscript is unique and, done properly, editing should be bespoke to an author's individual needs. Only after chatting with a potential author and viewing a sample can I price things accurately and fairly. Regardless of the service required, my rates will fall significantly below industry standards, as demonstrated by the median rates aggregated by the Editorial Freelancers Association. The value I offer my clients goes far beyond monetary terms, something shown in my regularly updated selection of Testimonials.

WHAT METHODS OF PAYMENT DO YOU ACCEPT?

My preference is for direct bank transfer, the details of which (including how to make international transfers) are on the invoice. Third party providers come with additional costs and, to help balance these, there is a 5% surcharge for PayPal.

WHEN DO I NEED TO PAY FOR YOUR EDITING?

I request payment in advance but this can be broken down into portions for affordability and/or reassurance of the quality to be delivered. To secure a slot in my schedule I only require a 10% deposit relative to the overall length of the book.
